Description
Users can reset their support portal password from the support login page.
Applies To
Users who have separate credentials for the support portal from other Confluent accounts. Users may have separate credentials if they are in any of the following user groups:
- SSO Confluent Cloud users
- Local Confluent Cloud users who accessed the support portal prior to June 2021
- Confluent Support users who received an invite to create a Confluent Support account
- Confluent Support users who were setup with support accounts for a Confluent Platform subscription

Resolution
Support portal local and SSO Confluent Cloud users
Support portal local and SSO Confluent Cloud users have different credentials for the support portal than other Confluent accounts. When you try to login, these users would see an alert stating: "This login is different from your Confluent Cloud account login".
- Navigate to https://support.confluent.io
- Click Sign In (you may need to logout first)
- Click Forgot Password
- Enter your email address
- Click Reset password
- Check your email
Subject line: "Your Confluent Support Portal Password"
From: no-reply@confluent.io - Click the Reset your password link
- Enter your new password
- Click Reset password
Confluent Cloud local users
Users that log in with their Confluent Cloud accounts can reset their password in Confluent Cloud.
- Navigate to https://confluent.cloud
- Click Forgot password
- Enter your email address
- Click Reset password
- Check your email
Subject line: "Your Confluent Cloud Password"
From: no-reply@confluent.io - Click the Reset your password link
- Enter your new password
- Click Reset password
