Today, we're excited to announce the release of Confluent Platform 7.4. With the release of Confluent Platform 7.4, we're building on top of the innovative feature set announced in Confluent Platform 7.0, enhancing scalability while bringing a more simplified architecture, expanding DevOps automation, and improving data quality. The following are key features highlighted in our announcement:
- Production-ready KRaft for new clusters: scale clusters to millions of partitions and simplify your data architecture by removing dependencies on ZooKeeper for metadata management
- Confluent for Kubernetes Blueprints: accelerate time-to-market by providing self-service access to streaming platform resources for application teams from a single control plane
- Data Quality Rules for Schema Registry: ensure accurate and consistent data by augmenting schemas with tags, metadata, and rules for semantic and content validation
Note: Data Quality Rules is in preview state, meaning the feature is not yet supported for production environments and is only advised for testing purposes.
