Scheduled Maintenance of Confluent Cloud
On January 24th, 2026, between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM UTC (10:00 AM and 12:00 PM PST on January 24th, 2026) Confluent Cloud will undergo scheduled maintenance for an infrastructure upgrade. Once started, the maintenance will last approximately 2 hours. During this time, you will not be able to create, update, or delete RoleBindings, Identity Providers, Identity Pools, Group Mappings, Certificate Authorities, or Certificate Identity Pools via UI/CLI/API. Your existing clusters, their metrics and the flow of data to and from your producers and consumers will be unaffected.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
What to expect during the scheduled maintenance period
RoleBindings: During the maintenance window, RoleBindings cannot be created or deleted. The UI will show an error message. Reading RoleBindings will not be affected. Any existing RoleBindings will continue to function normally.
Identity Providers: During the maintenance window, Identity Providers cannot be created, updated, or deleted. Reading Identity Provider configurations will not be affected. Any existing Identity Providers will continue to function normally for authentication.
JWKS (JSON Web Key Sets): During the maintenance window, JWKS public key data cannot be refreshed. Reading existing JWKS data will not be affected.
Identity Pools: During the maintenance window, Identity Pools cannot be created, updated, or deleted. Reading Identity Pool configurations will not be affected. Any existing Identity Pools will continue to function normally.
Group Mappings: During the maintenance window, Group Mappings cannot be created, updated, or deleted. Reading Group Mapping configurations will not be affected. Any existing Group Mappings will continue to function normally.
Certificate Authorities: During the maintenance window, Certificate Authorities cannot be created, updated, or deleted. Reading Certificate Authority configurations will not be affected. Any existing Certificate Authorities will continue to function normally.
Certificate Identity Pools: During the maintenance window, Certificate Identity Pools cannot be created, updated, or deleted. Reading Certificate Identity Pool configurations will not be affected. Any existing Certificate Identity Pools will continue to function normally.
The scheduled maintenance will have no impact on any other Control Plane and Data Plane APIs or any of your running Confluent Cloud components; including Kafka clusters, Connectors, ksqlDB, Kafka Streams, Flink and Schema Registry.
What can you do to reduce the impact
You can reduce the impact by planning your RoleBinding, Identity Provider, Identity Pool, Group Mapping, Certificate Authority, and Certificate Identity Pool management operations to occur before or after this maintenance window.
