Confluent’s ccloud v1.43 CLI was released on November 8, 2021. This is the final release of the product. ccloud is being deprecated in favor of the recently released confluent v2.0 CLI.
ccloud v1.43 can be upgraded directly to confluent v2.0 with the command ccloud update --major please review the list of breaking changes first.
All versions of ccloud v1.x
ccloud CLI will continue to function until May 9, 2022, at which point the client will no longer be able to authenticate with Confluent Cloud. Until then, no additional functionality will be added to ccloud v1.x. Patches may be released if major bugs are discovered.
Confluent advises customers begin planning the migration well in advance of May 9, 2022 so that any potential disruption of service is mitigated. There are a number of breaking changes that any existing scripts may need to accommodate before an upgrade. Please refer to the Migration Guide for full details including a comprehensive list of breaking changes.
